Roof painting is one of the most cost-effective ways to extend the life of a roof – and to give the house a real lift. We wash, prime and paint concrete, clay-tile and sheet-metal roofs with paint systems suited to West Swedish weather.
Roof painting in Gothenburg
Over time the surface of concrete tiles, clay tile and sheet-metal roofs is bleached and worn down by sun, rain, frost and algae. The roof takes on a blotchy, dull appearance and becomes more porous – and therefore more susceptible to moss and moisture. Roof painting seals the surface, restores the colour and considerably extends the life of the roof.
We always start with a thorough clean: pressure washing, moss treatment and repair of broken tiles. We then prime where needed and paint with roof paint developed to withstand weather, UV light and temperature swings. You get an even, durable surface that protects the roof for many years.
Roof painting is a cheaper alternative to roof replacement when the structure and material of the roof are in good condition. You receive a written fixed price after the inspection, and the labour cost is normally eligible for the ROT deduction.
When should the roof be painted?
Roof painting works when the material and structure of the roof are still intact. Get in touch if the roof has:
If the tiles are cracked or the underlay is damaged, the roof should be renovated or replaced – see roof renovation and roof replacement.
Why M2 Bygg Team
Washing, moss treatment and primer give the paint the right conditions. It is the preparation that determines how long the paint job lasts.
We use roof paint that withstands UV, rain, snow and temperature swings and adheres well to concrete, clay tile and sheet metal.
Roof painting costs a fraction of a roof replacement and extends the life of the roof by many years – a good deal when the roof is in good condition.
We work with fall protection and the right equipment, and protect the facade, garden and patio from paint and wash water.
You receive a written fixed price and we deduct the ROT deduction directly on the invoice.
We can at the same time clean gutters, replace sheet-metal details and wash the facade – one job, one contact.
How it works
We check the roofing material, condition and substrate and assess whether the roof is suitable for painting.
You receive a written fixed price, including washing and pre-treatment, within 24 hours.
The roof is pressure washed and treated against moss and algae. Broken tiles and details are repaired.
Where needed, primer is applied to improve adhesion and seal the surface before painting.
The roof is painted in one or two coats with roof paint in the chosen colour. We work in dry weather for the best result.
We check the result, clear the gutters and clean up. You receive care advice on how to prolong the effect.
